Rygor Commercials is thrilled to announce a partnership with Wiltshire Digital Drive, a local not-for-profit organization, to recycle its used IT equipment. The equipment donated by the Rygor team will be fully refurbished by the Wiltshire Digital Drive team and given to local families and individuals in need. The mission of Wiltshire Digital Drive is to bridge the digital divide and ensure all young people have access to the equipment they need to succeed in their education.

Natalie Sherman, co-director at Wiltshire Digital Drive, stated, “We have been blown away by the support and generosity of the local business community. To date, we have saved over 6 tonnes of digital waste from going to landfill and have helped over 2000 people get connected by providing them with their own laptop, free of charge. We are so grateful for Rygor’s donation and hope it sets a positive example for other businesses to follow.”

The donation was made possible through the introduction by Rygor’s IT consultants, Priority IT, who are also heavily involved in the community project. Priority IT’s Managing Director, Kieran Thomas, said, “We are proud to be a part of the Wiltshire Digital Drive. As a Wiltshire-based IT company, it fills us with pride to collect our client’s old IT equipment, refurbish it, and see it re-used by a local good cause. I would like to thank Rygor for their donation and my team for their hard work.”

Rygor’s Head of IT, Ronnie Hinton, added, “We are always looking for ways to enhance our infrastructure and make a positive impact in our community. This initiative is a perfect opportunity to do something meaningful with our surplus equipment. The team at Wiltshire Digital Drive is doing an amazing job making sure no young person is disadvantaged because of the cost of IT equipment.”

In addition to supporting this community project, Rygor is committed to being environmentally conscious. The business has invested in paperless administration systems, energy-saving lighting and equipment, and electric mobile fleet servicing vans. Rygor’s Group Finance Director, Tim Smith, said, “Our team is passionate about being the best in the industry and being a good neighbor in our community. We are grateful for the opportunity to support the goals and dreams of young people across Wiltshire and are proud to be reducing waste at the same time.”
